Mini Midweek Post: MAC "Coffee" Eyeliner

This eyeliner is one of my absolute favorites. It's a trusty & loyal eyeliner, that has an incredibly smooth consistency, glides on the eye very easily and is easy to remove in the evening. It is one of the reliable products that I love having handy in my makeup bag!

The color is the perfect shade of dark brown, significantly lighter than black, but still dark enough to make your eyes pop! 

MAC is a very well known and reliable brand; while I haven't dabbled in many of their products just yet, I look forward to doing so after using this lovely eyeliner!

Video: Summer Lookbook

In honor of the first day of July & being well into the lovely, relaxing, beach filled season of Summer, I uploaded my long awaited Summer lookbook! I filmed this in my favorite place in the world, my grandfathers farm! I spent many hours working on this and owe a thank you to my family that helped me film it in the heat and humidity!

Life: Pottery Painting

I find painting pottery very therapeutic, while I may not be the best painter, it is simply another outlet that allows me to be creative. The other day, my mom and I decided to venture down to Historic Downtown Annapolis, one of my absolute favorite places to spend time, to check out this pottery painting shop called Clay Bakers. It is also a perk that I only live a few minutes away from the beautiful city! 

We traveled into the cute little shop that rests right in the middle of Main Street and searched for our perfect piece to paint. After at least ten minutes of debating, I finally decided that a medium size, basic, bowl was the piece for me (some would call that boring, I call it practical). I picked sea foam green and pale blue as my two colors and went to work painting. I added a personal touch and free handed what I call my "abstract rose" design with three dimensional paint and then all that was left to do was wait a week to see the final result.

With only a few visible streaks, I was really happy with how it turned out & had a great time with my mom. It was all around a lovely experience because the shop plays enjoyable music and if you happen to go on a sunny day, they may even leave the doors open so you can enjoy the breeze as you paint!

Travel: Beach Trip

A little weekend getaway was exactly what my best friend and I needed. This past weekend we packed up our bags, got our iced coffees, turned up the tunes, and headed out for a traffic filled road trip to her beach house in Bethany. 

I am a beach girl inside and out, I could literally stay on the beach all day and if it was socially acceptable would sleep there too. Hopefully

one day I will be able to own a beach house of my own, but I feel very blessed that I have one to escape to when I need the sandy shores. 

We couldn't have asked for better beach weather, sunny and 75 degrees with warm ocean water and the perfect breeze. Saturday was our day to get everything accomplished so we went for an early morning kayak trip around the canal, then ate a delicious lunch at one of my favorite restaurants down there called Ocean View. Then we finally made it to the beach for a few hours, fell asleep, through around a football (we can both throw some pretty mean spirals) and swam until it was time to get ready for dinner. 

I wore a quick and easy outfit and make up that took five minutes and then we were out the door to my favorite restaurant in Bethany called The Cottage Cafe, followed by the gorgeous Bethany Beach Boardwalk for some shopping. 

All around this trip was much needed and filled with many hilarious moments! I'm already missing the sun & sand but cannot wait to get back when I can.
